Sweet & Salty Apple Nachos

"Na-cho" typical nachos! These Sweet & Salty Apple Nachos are our healthy, yet scrumptious, and peanut-buttery twist on the classic sports snack. We even took it upon ourselves, to go the extra mile, and top them off with some Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Squarebar pieces. ;) Enjoy!

3 apples, we suggest Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or a mix of both depending on your tart vs. sweet preference
1 lemon
3 tbsp creamy peanut butter (we used salted)
1 tbsp coconut nectar
1/3 cup pecans (almonds or cashews)
1/3 cup flaked unsweetened coconut
1 1/2 - 2 Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Squarebars
A pinch of sea salt (optional)

  1. First, cut your lemon in half. Next, slice up your apples, we cut ours pretty thin so they would resemble chips, and place them in a bowl. Squeeze lemon halves over the apple slices, so the lemon juice coats the "chips." This will help keep your "chips" from browning too quickly, and will add a little extra delicious kick.
  2. Next, drizzle peanut butter over apples.
  3. Then drizzle on the coconut nectar.
  4. Take your PB Squarebars and cut them into chocolate-chip sized pieces.
  5. Sprinkle the pecans, coconut flakes, and tiny Squarebar chunks on top of the drizzled apples... and there you have it... Sweet & Salty Apple Nachos!
