Almond Spice Apple Crumble


It's hard to stay humble when you've got this crumble! Almond Spice Apple Crumble is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters, definitely one for your holiday menu. Thanks Lauren (a.k.a. @blissfullylively) for this cozy, festive recipe!


Ingredients:

6 apples peeled, cored, and chopped
3 Chocolate Coated Almond Spice Squares, chopped in 1/2 inch squares
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
Toppings
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup gluten-free flour
1 cup gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup non-dairy butter melted, or coconut oil

Recipe: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Peel, core, and chop apples. Place in baking dish.
  3. Chop Squares, place in baking dish.
  4. Mix together (in small bowl) sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Sprinkle mixture over the sliced apples and toss until combined.
  5. Combine the topping ingredients in a bowl until crumbly and fully mixed. Top the apple mixture evenly with oatmeal mixture add 1 chopped Square to top.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, serve warm with vanilla bean gelato (or vanilla coconut milk ice cream) & caramel sauce, if desired!
