Fudge Cake Brownies

Do these Fudge Cake Brownies remind anyone else of Hostess Cupcakes or Matilda (you know that one scene: Bruce vs. The Chocolate Cake)?! In other words, how quickly can get them in our mouthes?! Thanks Lina (a.k.a. @thathealthjunkie) for this DECADENT recipe!


1 cup sweet potato puree
1/2 cup nut butter of choice
2 tbsp ghee (or coconut butter)
2/3 cup coconut sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 eggs (or flax "eggs")
1/2 cup almond flour
1 tbsp tapioca flour
1/2 tsp pink salt
2 chopped up Chocolate Coated Nuts & Sea Salt Squares
1/2 cup coconut butter + cocoa powder (to taste)
1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
1 1/2 tbsp choice of milk


  1. Line a 8x8 inch tin and preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix the puree, nut butter & ghee/coconut butter together with a whisk until well incorporated. Stir in the coconut sugar & vanilla. Add the eggs in one at a time & whisk.
  3. Add the flours & salt. Stir with a spatula. Pour half the mixture into the tin then add the Square chunks, pour the other half of the mix on top, spread evenly then put in the middle of the oven for 20-25 mins.
  4. For the frosting. Put the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat & whisk together until combined. Pour over the cooled brownies and spread evenly with a palette knife. Slice and ENJOY!
